Its torque is 75bhp / 89lb ft and it has single speed automatic transmission. The battery charging time is 8 hours and the battery is high-performance, high-temperature battery made from environmentally compatible sodium-nickel-chloride. The maximum speed of car is approximately 112 km/h.

1. Smart fortwo: It is a two-seater, rear-engine car. Having being introduced in 1998 at Paris Motor Show, its latest version is fully-electric model.

Its concept is based on steel frame that is hard and rigid and provides protection to passenger compartment. It has plastic body panel that is interchangeable. It is 8 feet 10 inches long and weighs 730 kg.

It has good rating for safety.

It has turbocharged three cylinder 698 cc engine and it provides mileage of 4.7 liters/100 km.

It has semi-automatic transmission.

2. Smart Crosstown: It is gas/electric hybrid car and is currently sold in Europe.

3. Smart fortwo EV: It is a Fortwo model that has been modified by Zytek Electric Vehicles and is operated by battery. The first car was delivered to Coventry City Council on January 16, 2008.

It is an urban vehicle with capacity for two passengers. It has sharper acceleration with enormous torque of the electric motor and gets 30mph in 6.5 seconds. It is 2.5m in length and 1.45m in width. The electric motor is mounted under the boot. The mileage is 13.2 kilometer per hours of sodium-nickel chloride Zebra batteries.
