Volkswagen Touran is a mid sized people carrier which has the option of seven seats with the third row of two seats can be folded flat in to the floor. Two petrol engines are available in Touran but most of the customers are interested in turbo diesel vehicles of Volkswagen. There is a standard six-speed manual gearbox in all versions and there is an option of semi-auto DSG gearbox on more powerful cars. It is easy to handle with a responsive steering and the body control is fine. The cabin is nicely insulated from external noise.

The resale values are strong for the Touran. The interior is made up of tough material to stand up the use of family life. There are head and side airbags for the passenger sitting in the front. To provide better side protection there are curtain airbags which run throughout the length of the cabin. The driving position is good with the two way steering adjustment and drive seat height adjustment.
